"Devil's Dance"

This vase stands about 12" tall and portrays a dancing man. The other side of the vase features the head of a demon.

"Carp"

This fish vase was inspired by the all-day fishing trips on the Mississippi River with my brother, Jay.

"Childhood"

For this piece I etched my drawing--each line--into a copper plate with a razor blade. Then I put ink onto the plate and ran it through the press to make a series of 14 prints.

"Young Man and the Sea"

For this I sketched out my design on linoleum block, then cut out with razor tool. Rolled ink on and made two overlapping colors. Series of 14 prints.

"Lunch Time"

This was for a sculpture class assignment. Everything is made out of construction paper.

"Sea Nymph" 5 1/2' x 3 1/2 '

This piece was created for a sculpture class "found object" assignment. I began with a piece of 3/4" plywood and stapled chicken wire and then used paper mache to sculpt her body. Bottle caps were applied with hot glue and then reinforced with superglue. The mermaid's dreadlocks are bottlecaps strung onto copper wire.

After completing the 700- bottlecap studded tail, I ran out of beer caps for the mermaid's dread locks. Thanks to the gracious bartenders at "Dish Pizza" who saved all of their beer caps for me, her locks were made possible.

More Bottlecap Art: Caps secured w/ Brass Nails on 3/4" Plywood

Caps secured w/ Brass Nails on 3/4" Plywood. Corrogated metal fins were made from tin cans salvaged from the depths of the WJC cafeteria.

Recycling. And art. Combine the two and you have a resourceful beautiful sweet smelling piece.
